And how much do you think you would contribute to the EU coffers (understanding that you think there is a very strong economy without the UK) you would be a positive contributor yes? firstly you dont have to join the euro from the start off. so we will park that one to. is it a % of gdp? per chance. bit hard to say exe, seeing as westminster doesnt have a definitive answer to that, funny that. our gdp would also change considerably as our financial leavers are pretty much in the control of westminster. as you know:Angelic: the GERS figures are an estimate of an estimate but within a uUK construct. ie, irrelevant when it comes to estimating the GDP of an independent country. i guess the strength of yer hand comes into it come any negotiation also. now for a country with less than 10%. we have considerably higher percentages of the resources on our side of the boarder. lastly, who says we a joining the EU. a compromise position has been put on the table. the brexiters up here need to be taken into account also. democracy dear exe democracy.

We voted for that in 2014 y’know. £1.6tr in debt, set to become £1.8-9 by 2020 according to Mr Hammond. An eye watering sum, yes? Which government ran up this debt? Which government controls the levers of the economy? The Scottish Government didn’t catastrophically crash an economy (its not allowed to). The Scottish Government hasn’t waged war on anyone in centuries, spending yet further eye watering sums on maintaining a global military footprint (see under foreign adventures and Trident).
