  4. Yes I was just looking at that, that's where I ordered my forks and some other stuff from, I don't know Andy but maybe I did talk to him a while ago when I was placing my order!

  6. I see...well this is some very helpful information!
    Thanks!

  7. Ive got to pull the carts from my FGRT forks and sort them, even though they have been done by Kyle they are WAY too stiff for the road, track they may be ok but I'm still not happy with them.. I had a better setup with the OEM stuff but have not had time to rework the forks, my TTX had some issues that Ive had sorted but it needs the movement sorting before I can do any more, Andys on the ball with it.

  8. Yes he is well known around the world when it comes to suspension!

  9. Nice Andy.... VERY nice! Was chatting to Alan (AK) about his from Wilf but just have not had chance to get back on the case with mine, it's pending action....lol

  10. Yeah that's my problem with him, he IS half way round the world...!lol Anyway the shock and forks are well known and easy to revise its just time and effort mate but out the box they are far from perfect!

  11. I remember when I was ordering my forks and I called him because I seen them for a cheaper price on eBay and he matched the price...that was a token of gratitude and I will be ordering parts from kyleusa again!

Which shock do you have...the DU711? I ordered the DU931

  12. DU788 TTX36 and FGRT803 forks, Kyle sent me the WRONG forks first time round and I had to sell them for him! Not good but he did send another pair FREE until I had sold the wrong ones! Easy to miss read 805 for 803 shame I did not have a bussa....lol

  13. I made sure to talk to him about my forks before ordering them lol! I got the FGRT819 all the numbers kinda had my head spinning too!

  14. Yes the 819 has some revisions for fitting, without looking I can't quite recall, I think it's caliper mounting bolt lengths etc but the internals etc are the same.. Yes so did I but you know suss is an ever evolving thing, it's never right and only ever a compromise so impossible to get right on a build sheet, final tuning is never ending! Mine were miles off even though sprung for me and road etc.

  15. I'm learning all the time mow about tech stuff, so Andy what difference does the linkage make?

  16. Agreed! I am new to motorcycle modding personally but I do also of reading, research that I do get the part right for my bike! Hahaha

  17. This is from the Kyle Racing site about the track link...

Kyle USA Track Link for 848/1098/1098S.

Keeps the rising rate suspension more linear. This gives you more traction.

Installing this link will REQUIRE modding the rear shock at an additional cost of $250. This does not include a new spring, but anyone that purchased a shock from us we will exchange the spring for free.

It is made to be used with the TTX rear shock either a modified DU788 we sell or a modified DU711 shock that comes stock on the 1098R. We also now sell a DU714 already modified from the factory for use with this link

Mods performed to the shock include shortening the overall length, revalving the shock to a Pro Level spec and adding a different rate spring (stiffer)

  18. So keeps bile flatter meaning more in contact with road so better drive?

  19. I believe so, better contact with the road!

  20. Was told by Wilf to spend cash on the rear before the front, especially if racing the bike (which I'm not now) so wonder if I get to a similar result having a std S Ohlins rear (which is fitted) and having sprung for me with a few other mods like the link...or part out the shock and put towards a TTX but then leave the rocker as is. Looking for compromise over performance mostly road but will be doing a few trackdays offset against cost
