I can check next week to make sure it fits ok

I am happy to send it back to you then if you need to take a template

  9. The ?? one with the cutaway is the same as the one on my ST4s, also fits my 907. It should also fit any of the 3-phase cases from the early 2000s. I think the cutaway is to clear the later clutch slave.

  10. A scale rule it is.......got about 12 of them....commonly used by architects and draughtsmen (Well, those that can still draw on paper, that is).......For Char's pic, use the 1:1 / 1:100 side....all small divisions are in millimetres.

  11. Darren sent me one for a 749 but I had problems fitting it. I hesitated contacting him as I wanted to try and fit it again and unfortunately, what happened happened. I can take photos of it if wanted.

  12. If I were you, post a couple of pics of the saver and a couple of the case so we can see where / why it doesn't fit.........maybe someone can sort it for you.

  13. This is what Darren said to me about the cut outs.

The only real difference between the 1100 Hyper/Monster saver & the dry-clutch ones are the top tab fixing points and a cutout to clear the nubbin/lump between the slave and the sprocket shaft, they are on all reality a modified dry-clutch design.

  14. Cheers Al, I think that it needs a cut out but I'm going to give it another go myself as I'm scared of Mr.C having another rant!

  16. Hi Steve, assume by the above you are ok for the 998 variant (guess same design, fitment, etc as 748-996), or do you want pics?
