  1. Thanks David, Give me a little time and I'll get back to you. Once the motor is completely stripped I'll have a good idea of the bits needed.
    Talk soon, ST

  2. Thanks, and good luck. David

  3. Interesting, it was clear when I had it, needed a change really but there was no milkyness. If it's any use to you, I know that Baines racing said they'd got a couple of complete and part engines there from an st4s.

  4. Hi Tim,
Do you still have the motor (minus alternator) for Dan's bike? I've bought his bike and it's almost fully stripped, so was wondering if I'd be able to benefit from your kind offer to Dan?
So far the motor needs a few other bits beside the gearbox components, clutch drive is one of them.
Would be fantastic if we could do a deal...
    Best,
    ST

  5. Here's a picture of the broken teeth, its no wonder you had some serious noise.
    Now I need a gearset!

  7. That would do it! Was that the only damage?

I recon £75 inc delivery in uK but I could deliver to suffolk and Hertfordshire.

@david wiggins Your offer sounds fine, do you know if the ST2 and ST4s gears are interchangeable? And, how do I PM you directly, being new to this forum - I'm a little challenged!
Thanks pal, I'm gonna be on the road in no time.

  10. Hey Dansrockin, I think the missed gear, which caused the damage was actually due to something else. i.e. NOT your driving.
There was a huge scrape of metal due to someone trying to tighten the timing shaft incorrectly, which I think was ignored. Thus the problem was waiting to happen. Added a picture for you! Pretty sad, but on the bright side I have a great bike, I'm learning a lot and Summer is around the corner...……

  12. Thanks Steve, am trying.....

  13. That's unfortunate, I'm guessing someone's rushed the job, bodged it, then sold it on quick before it's a problem for them! I never got round to checking things like the belts as I didnt have it long enough! Hope you get it sorted out soon though and get to enjoy it! It really was a nice bike to ride, really gave me back the love for riding!
