HI guys, I'm reading now the post, but I had the same issue few weeks back, fixed by a garage in London as I don't have enough tools at home. to me was the wire broken in the front as well, plus my fuel sensor was off as well. Nice job Stavrich
Hi MTS users, I had the same problem on my MTS 1200s 2014 (Speed sensor error, ABS off, DTC off) it happened generally when speed was higher then 160 km/h. I started from: 1. Front abs sensor 2. Rear abs sensor 3. Front accelerator located on left fork 4. Front accelerator located on body 5. Rear accelerator still no results – frustration grows 6. voltage from module 2.45V it is OK 7. impedance of sensor also ok 8. cables in all critical places – ok I am starting to feel desperate 9. I tried to contact local ducati service. They suggest to change tires. 10. Front tire - no result 11. Rear tire - no result 12. Front and rear distance between time wheel and sensor. Frustration level expert Be patient finally I have solved problem. 13. Last changes solving problem: front fork oil + front fork seals + front wheel bearings It solved the problem but don’t ask why. This bike is really nice but can knock you down. I had also another case, after 1 hour on highway with continuous speed over 200 km/h my engine stopped. After short investigation inside my engine I found the shaft broken near the magnetic wheel. New shaft cost 4000USD. Fortunatly I was able to buy a used engine only with 7000 km. Cost 2000USD. After engine exchange everything is ok but I can say MTS it’s like very nice blond girl. Love and hate – probably You now it.
I put my money down to the wheel bearings. Bad vibration could confuse the abs sensor. Actually Ducatis are quite reliable ( https://www.thethings.com/ranking-t...ycle-brands-of-2020-and-the-least-reliable/9/ ) - just think of the poor BMW owners...
That cable is a common problem, mine went a few years ago. It is too tight and constantly under tension.
