Fixed your reply. NAP Fair enough, my multi tool is fitted with a grinding disc as it’s my go to at work. It’s a lump hammer and a ball hammer for me, that’s if my local indi isn’t available for the correct tool that he lends me.
After bending a couple of the cheaper riveting tools on a bike mechanic course*, it was suggesting that I purchase one of these: https://www.dirtbikexpress.co.uk/products/motion-pro-chain-breaker-rivet-tool As this is for "For riveting hollow nose master links", and the Tsubaki** chain is 'solid nosed' or 'quad stake', you also need: https://www.motionpro.com/product/08-0142 Then I would need a paddock stand, which, f it, I'm going to buy now: https://abbastands.co.uk/product-detail.asp?item=superbike-stand You can see why I paid someone else to do it at the time. The good news: -The front sprocket moves on the shaft -It has the plate fitted to it at the back, so looks correct for my bike -I've ordered the bits I need to fix it, and give it a light service as well * I am heavy handed, but in my defence, the chains were a bit rusty. And I have neuropathy in my hands **why Tsubaki? I've one at 45,000km on the NT650 Honda Bros***, w/scottoiler, and it's not worn out yet *** A flippin' reliable bike****, compared to the Ducati ****but not as good looking
Humbug, I may be able to sell you an ABBA stand as I have one but I got the skylift. Let me know if interested. I have the motion pro chain tool. Top quality, Ive had cheaper and they are junk
Beware with replacement gearbox sprockets. They come with different offsets depending on what model they are for.
