  1. Obviously the bike is refusing to start until it has more totty sat on it's seat.

It's red blooded Italian after all.

  2. :p guys i cant seem to find the relay and the bloody battery box doesnt come off.. there are cables ands tuff attached to it and its very hard to remove them all. can someone post a pic of their starter relay and where its located? if anyone has a pic of it of course

    perhaps its flooded!

  4. you dont remove the wires.. you just pull the box and there should be enough slack on it to find the relay.

the relay is at the bottom left corner as you look at the battery box.

  5. Rather than fiddle arse around why don't you just bite the bullet get it recovered and let a specialist/dealer sort it out.

This member had trouble with her headlights continually flashing' so I personally road over to fix the problem! See pics really do help!

  7. Yikes!!!!!!!!!!!!

Back on track.......There are 3 allen head bolts to remove. Taking the lead off the starter motor gives you a bit more slack to manoeuvre the battery box to get at the heat shield screws.

Have you checked that your plugs? Plus tried the -ve jump lead? I would try these first before taking the battery box off.

  8. In these pictures you can clearly see what the trouble is:

The levers are just substandard silvery alloy crap. They should be proper black ones like Pazzos, or at least like the ones they fitted to the 851.

It just leaps out at you.

  9. shes got a nice pair ;)

back to the bike....... my new relay came today, i installed it, turned ignition on, everything loaded up, then i used the WOT method, and it fired up!

thank you guys for all the info :D

but i ordered them spark plugs for no reason, il keep them for the future then i suppose.

  10. Good news

  11. First thing I noticed!!

  12. and where do you put the tax disk? lol

  13. for 12 quid its better to have em around just incase!

  14. back to square one.... the bike isnt starting again. did an exhaust swap last night, and now it wont fire up... it started up once, felt like it was running on one cylinder and then cut off as soon as i gave some throttle, and will not start ever since... charged the batt up too, made no difference,

    please help.

do you think the relay is bust again?

  15. More info needed.

Do you hear the fuel pump prime when you turn the key on?

Does it try to turn over or just go click or nothing at all?

  16. well the fuel pump primes, and the bike sometimes sounds likes its going to start, like its coughing once of twice, but it just doesnt properly start.

but sometimes it just doesnt do anything but turn over. its quite strange.

  17. So are you saying that you had to have the throttle wide open for the bike to start previously? It wouldn't start with no throttle?

  18. Yeah, that was previously though, which was months ago. i dont know what the problem is now. i tried WOT this time, but still nothing. i get better results without WOT this time, like it will sometimes sound like its going to start, but it doesnt.

if i do WOT and try to start, nothing happens. it just turns over faster.

  19. Maybe the TPS needs resetting. I suspect that the new exhaust may be running the mixture more lean too
