Pocher 1299 Panigale R 1:4 Scale

  1. I had this dilemma but having the paint now I’ve built the 916, 888, got the desmo to build, another 916 which I’m going to build to senna spec/colours and the mrs bought me MM RC213v to build. So each model is usually just a couple more colours each time.

  3. Strangely pleasant to look at, we have an art piece similar that is just discarded and weathered items found on a beach.

  4. I’m finding it difficult to source the Ducati ‘flakey’ paint Silver, you wouldn’t have the code for it would you? TIA:confused:

  5. Guess that’s one of the advantages of being old. ;)

  6. Sure it’s WD-40, thin coating of this and the paint will struggle to adhere just like the real thing :upyeah::joy:

  8. Finally got my model room sorted out, so making a start on my Pocher Ducati 1299, even the paddock stand is a work of art 2EF8478C-F6CF-4B80-BDA4-1A27BC86933F.jpeg

  10. Been busy over the weekend and today, you really have to follow the instructions as a lot of bits are screwed on from the inside. D5C595B8-4A36-4AFB-ADA7-F683F94C5C63.jpeg

  11. I built this kit recently. There are some mistakes in the instructions and I believe there’s a lot crossed over from the previous Ducati that they did and some parts in this that don’t get used, some wrong part numbers referenced. Not many but enough to make it worthwhile to watch some online build videos if you aren’t sure about something. I don’t think this bike had dynamic suspension but the instructions show it being fitted and the parts are there to do it.

Nothing’s ever perfect but it’s a good kit. Some of the detail is excellent, although most of it gets hidden. Using some oil on the screws that go into metal helps.

Unfortunately my girlfriend decided that I enjoyed it sufficiently for her to buy me a Tamiya kit, which means I’ve now got to spend a vast amount of money on paints to build it.

    Enjoy your build!

  12. Bringing this thread back to life. I’ve finally finished my Pocher Ducati. I’ve been doing it slowly and taking my time. Enjoyed making it, but like others have said some of the instructions and fit are not great. Overall a great model. 13. Love this, I did look not so long ago though and it looks like it’s discontinued now? Unless others can advise, they only sites I found it on were out of stock and it’s not searchable on the poucher site

  14. Know someone who has 2, still boxed. If your after one I can ask if he’d sell one of them.

  15. I just sold a Pocher Alfa Romeo on eBay for my aunt, my late uncle bought it for £900 off eBay in 2020, got an about a month into it before he sadly died. Even begun and with no guarantee the parts were all present it still fetched £350.

he’d previously made the Pocher Mercedes cabriolet. He spent two years making it and heavily modifying it to make it more accurate. It’s proudly on display at my aunts a real work of art.

pocher kits do seem to have a very enthusiastic following.
