I had this dilemma but having the paint now I’ve built the 916, 888, got the desmo to build, another 916 which I’m going to build to senna spec/colours and the mrs bought me MM RC213v to build. So each model is usually just a couple more colours each time.
Strangely pleasant to look at, we have an art piece similar that is just discarded and weathered items found on a beach.
I’m finding it difficult to source the Ducati ‘flakey’ paint Silver, you wouldn’t have the code for it would you? TIA

Been busy over the weekend and today, you really have to follow the instructions as a lot of bits are screwed on from the inside.
I built this kit recently. There are some mistakes in the instructions and I believe there’s a lot crossed over from the previous Ducati that they did and some parts in this that don’t get used, some wrong part numbers referenced. Not many but enough to make it worthwhile to watch some online build videos if you aren’t sure about something. I don’t think this bike had dynamic suspension but the instructions show it being fitted and the parts are there to do it. Nothing’s ever perfect but it’s a good kit. Some of the detail is excellent, although most of it gets hidden. Using some oil on the screws that go into metal helps. Unfortunately my girlfriend decided that I enjoyed it sufficiently for her to buy me a Tamiya kit, which means I’ve now got to spend a vast amount of money on paints to build it. Enjoy your build!
