Lowering Mts 1200

Discussion in 'Multistrada' started by PlymouthBikers, Dec 30, 2012.

  1. Hi Guys and Gals

Just wondering if any one knows a way or has done or heard of a way to lower the standard MTS?

This model has no electronic suspension.
At 5.10 I can ride it ok its just those times when you get that slight camber???umm would be nice to have a couple more inches ;-))

I know if I adjust the suspension load adjuster it makes no real diffrence to hight.

Would like to keep the real comfy seat as it is, would not want to get hight over comfort.

    any ideas, mods, parts, helpful.

look forward to your replies bikers.. Plymouth BIker Dave..

  2. Would the lower seat you can buy for the Multi not solve the problem for you? save you messing with the suspension.

Like you I am 5'10" and wanted to feel a bit more confident when I got the Mutley. I bought the touring seat which is cut in more at the front and I can now flatfeet on the bike.

I am in Saltash so PM me if you want to come round to give it a try.
    Cheers
    Brian

  5. Thanks Duck owners for your great replies.
Ill take a look at the seat option first then go from there.
    Happy New Year.

  6. Same here, the Ducati lower seat sorted the problem for me.
    Chris.

  7. Aside from the height bonus, is it much more comfortable than the original seat?

  8. Buy the PP seat as its got shit loads of poly in it and take it to a bike seat trimmer and get it (carved out) sorted for you. It's BS that the bike is too big. I'm 5'6" and fits like a freakin glove now.

Off camber shoulders, slippery Services forecourts etc.....pffft... Thing of the past.

Oh, you still will not be able to "paddle" her backwards sat on the seat even up a mild reverse slope. Get off and left hand on left grip, right hand on rear grab rail and maneuver from there.

  9. It has been for me and my gf finds the pillion one better.
