Hi - no covering required, he did all needed masking himself but yes, all bearings and seals had to come out so they were completely bare cases...
Price seems to vary depending on condition, He mentioned that the prep is even more important for this than normal painting or powder coating Best...

Fuel level sponsor nut, swap for aluminium. They can split and like the plastic connectors mentioned above, you can end up with fuel pissing out
