Forks are not FG43 The forks on this bike are “standard ducati” ohlins forks. Fg43 where aftermarket. henk!!!
I had the same last week when i changed the rear shock on my 888. I took the exhaust off and then you can put rachet on it and that will work alot...

Yes it fit other way around not straight away. A 916/996 fairing on a 998 fit not because the ducts hit the coils. Henk!!!
