There is no need to automatically replace the sockets when replacing the chain imo. My OEM chain went south at 19,000 miles, put on a DID, lube...

Same thing on my ENDURO...the 2" long rear MAP hose was heat perished after only 30,000 miles and full of cracks.
53,000 miles and counting for the fronts (original). 20,000 miles for the rear, replaced with EBCs.

Check for arcing in the 4 pin coil plug under the seat, never heard it causing moving cut outs but it does cut all power when trying to turn on...
