sand casting will give a larger more stand out line.i never done die-casting but sand casting.
mate,sand casting is made in two halves(top and bottom)so you see a join all the way round after the slag was removed.die casting is like...
i worked in a foundry that used sand for casting moulds.i could be wrong but all the lines look too good to be sand moulded.and the yellow paint...
they look die-cast from the factory that where fitted on a production bike hence the yellow paint mark.
do they have a part number on the inside of the bottom bracket?.
