  1. CSS Level 1 - :upyeah:. Did this (then Levels 2 and 3) years ago at Rockingham, learnt a lot.

  2. CSS level 1 day went really well, learned a bit and felt more confident afterwards.

It's an expensive day.. there's no getting around it.. with bike hire, fuel to get there and back and a night in a premier Inn it's a £1000 day out. I'd like to do level 2&3 next year, work commitments permitting, but I'll look into buying a collapsible bike trailer and towing my bike there.

Which takes us onto my bike...

I noticed a coolant leak, there would be a thimble full of coolant under the bike when it had been sat for a while, with the aid of some UV dye in the coolant I've traced it to a hose barb on the top of the horizontal cylinder head. The hose clamp was fully tightened down but not tight on the hose, that's been replaced with a new clamp a size down and the issue seems to be fixed now

The next issue is the exhaust has melted the bellypan, I'm aware there should be a rubber bung/spacer in the termi mid-pipe to space the belly pan off the exhaust, mine is missing this, does anyone know where to source a replacement?

And the other issue is that the rear shock is knocking, this is coming from one or both spherical bearings in the mounting eyelets, I've bought new parts from BG Motorsport and will press them out/in once I get chance to strip the bike down.

So with that in mind I think that's my 'season' over.. I'll SORN the bike and get into the winter maintenance ASAP,

I've got a good, used set of OEM side fairings and belly pan, and the previously pictured carbon nose cone so the plan will be to repair the shock, get the panels painted, a general clean and nut/bolt check and that's pretty much it I think.

  3. Been a while since I updated this.. I took the bike off the road around September 22, and slowly chipped away at jobs when I was home, I removed the rear shock and linkage to investigate the clunk, I thought it was the shock bearings but it turns out not to have been..

So with the shock proved healthy I decided to replace the shock linkage bearings with new SKF ones and all of the fasteners for the shock/linkage with titanium ones from podium racing, chased the thread in the swingarm and I think there may have been some blasting grit in there causing the old bolt to bind up before fully securing the shock as it's all fine now.

With that sorted and the exhaust etc back on I got to fit the fullsix belly pan, which I've lined under the exhaust with zircoflex 3 heat shield IMG20230324173203.jpg

    Which looks lovely fitted:

Then time for an MOT which was fine, as expected

Now the weather is getting better I've had it out a couple of times, last weekend to a country pub that has a 'supercar Sunday' meet.

I'm still on the lookout for some carbon side fairings, annoyingly fullsix and carbonin have discontinued them, and ilmberger ones are quite pricey... I wouldn't say no to an alloy tank and a superpole seat if they came up for sale either..

  4. Try Speed Carbon in Italy. Their carbon panels are top notch.

  5. Thanks for the heads up, They're not too badly priced, 739 euro for the pair from forza moto

  6. Can’t you go direct? Might work out cheaper… Drop Elisa an email: [email protected]

  7. @MaxRundown how are things going with the bike, it's been a few months since your last update. Did you get any use over the summer? And do you have much work planned for the winter?

  8. That bike does look well ! :upyeah:

  9. about 350 miles this year... no plans for the winter to be honest, it's under a cover pending better weather next year
