  1. I get 1098R RACE PWR :upyeah: also got the receipt for the 70mm system looking through the pack up and cams dialled in and a custom mapping showing 190 hp.

  3. Yeah, that’s the one. I think.

  4. Great. :)

But Shhhhhhh! :worried: Don't tell @Exige , it took him ages to find one after he bought his R, not less than 24 hours after buying the bike. ;)

  7. A thread mentioning lap timers has reminded me that my 1098R has a bespoke 2 button arrangement to replace the lights/indicators switch so I can still set the traction control when in track guise. Problem with it is without the headlight flash button I can’t start/stop the lap timer function. Has anyone got or is there an aftermarket solution to do what the OE multifuntion switch does ? Not looking for a separate lamp timer as I’ve got one which isn’t very discrete. Thanks, Andy

  8. looks like the Ballymoney bike may have gone.

  9. Well , it’s workshop time my end.
Giving the old girl a real proper clean , the sort that means you take things off and grease as your replace. The sort that makes you feel warm and fuzzy.
Well i do . One can’t beat a clean and well greased real brake pedal you know.
Whilst cleaning the wheels next to the c/f hugger I couldn’t help but think how wonderful a set of wheels made in the same would look good. Add to the fact I think it might be better with a change of rear tyre it seems to be the right time to do it ?
Offers of any for sale or whereabouts are welcome !!!

Found the dyno run print out today as well. Looks pretty strong and the sheer thrust this this has and never fails to amaze me.

  10. I’ve just taken the seat off for the first time.
It’s crap on a crap scale and cannot believe it is a standard item ?
I can see my links are not working so it’s pointless me trying to photo it.
The top has two small Ducati badges, one saying DUcati Corse.
Underneath Is just plain black plastic , not part numbers or writing on at all. I wouldn’t be against saying it’s a cheap race type seat instead of a standard item . Any one help out here with a pic or link to an original ?
    Thnaks.

  11. Whilst I’m tinkering in the workshop can anyone confirm the size of socket I need to take off the rear wheel but ?
The standard 1098 is 55mm I’m told but I believe the R is different ???

  12. Strangely mine seems to measure 55.4mm (with vernier calipers) as does my 1098SFS - so it appears they are all the same...

  13. Thanks for that
    I’ll get one ordered up.

  14. Same socket fits my 1098R, Multistrada 1200 and Carole’s Diavel. Andy

  15. I’ve just found my calipers, thought I’d double check .......57 ???????

  16. 55.4 here :)

  17. 12 point nut, deffo same as the streetfighter. And a quick Google says mts1200 as Andy intimated is also 12 point 55mm
    Is your nut standard?
    Got a picture?

  18. My R is 55mm bihex socket.

  19. You best triple check Mr T :worried:
