Issue diagnosed. Backfire has blown a hole in the horizontal cylinder downpipe. On closer inspection there are a number of cracks in the pipe. See picture, will be a sale of goods/ warranty claim. But extremely relieved it wasn’t anything more sinister. Thanks for all the good advice everyone -2nd picture, it’s always advisable to store your removed Ducati parts on top of a 430 GT3
