How comes it's ok to ask/talk about the weight, or lack of, but not the power figures? Where is the difference? except you spend to lose weight and spend to gain power. I do love the Fan-Boy rants though.
Telling someone the weight of a bike but not the power is like telling someone the power of the bike but not the weight. In both cases you're really not giving anything away to "the competition"
I really cant see what the secret is , yeh its his choice but if it were mine id defo be asking to see a dyno graph , compared to a std S/L you cant just say the man said its better, you could make a fortune doing that everyone bring your bikes to me and give me a £100 and I will tell u your bike is better
But the whole point is that more may not be better. Yes it's a way of measuring how powerful it is but (for example) sticking a Supercharger on a ZX10 may not make it a better bike. Yes it will be more powerful but that's of little use if it spits you off as you come out of a corner or if the electronics required are too intrusive to ride it properly. I have a feeling success for Carl won't be measured in something tangible like bp and more in something that's not measurable....... Pleasure. Having said that if he were to let us know what it made before and after, I wouldn't be down voting the post!

hey Koen - watched the racing today and looked like fun! Can't understand the team orders of Aprilia though . Glad you met up with Steve and had a natter - I thought you would . Thanks for the note - made me smile. It's been one hell of a journey for sure and these last few days are agony waiting for it to arrive safely back here so I can ride and experience her. U will b first to hear about it.
If, inshallah, all goes to plan, bike will be collected from MR next Monday and i'll have it by 18th Oct; first track day 24th Oct. Tick tock!

Do you have to run in a thing like that, or does that equate to just taking it a bit easy for the first couple of laps?
I could not afford to fix it if I crashed it . It wasn't a arse kissing reply more his response to the haters by not biting .
I know :Happy: don't think there were any haters though, just interested parties being denied what they felt to be the punch line to the full 'forum public' story perhaps... fun though all the same and a fab build.
I'm also interested in outcome I was referring to comment made how bike would be ridden to best of his ability that's all
