I would of ideally wanted a 899 but wanted a sssa , fancy dash, m50 brakes etc. much easier to buy the 1199 and know I'm over biked than mess about adding all the big ones bits onto the panigirly. ;-) plus a 899 was more expensive to insure too.
I find it all a bit unbelievable. I can't quite get my head around the idea that anyone would buy a bike they didn't want in order to secure a part of the bike you'll hardly ever look at, over purchasing the bike you actually want. I'm clearly missing something.
