Yeh just read spec sheet seems about 12kg lighter plus 10bhp more all sounds good ,BUT 30k is 3k per bhp but if you can afford one why not , personally id rather have an R VERSION , an S1000RR and a R1 , and change,,
well you would like to think so but the desmo,s are going cheaper now and today ive just been offered 13.5k for a part ex of my panni S on a 2013 plate ,1500miles so that's what you call depreciation ,or was it more like a piss take,
Don't forget, none of the prices quoted in the states include sales tax (usually between 7% to 12.5%). With the other incidental charges in the USA, it'll bring it a little closer to the European prices.
El Struetho! At that rate the things are affordable! In fact the Superleggera is just a stratagem to make Pannis more affordable to the masses. Plenty of people will chop in the one they have, thus creating an excellent secondhand market. Thank you Ducati!
OK - as promised here are some pictures I took of the superfanny at EICMA. Couple of things to note though guys - I took pics with my SLR (took it especially to get good pics) BUT - checking the pics, they ALL came out blurred and horrible...... after thinking my Nikon had broken - I took other pics elsewhere and they were all fine..... WTF???? Anyway, to cut a long story short, flippin Ducati put the bike under strobe lighting so the likes of me with super dooper cameras could not take photos! WTF take 2!! So the pics here are from my iPhone - sorry I could not give u better. So what about the bike? Well, its for sure nice in the flesh and the colour scheme works well - it is the same as the motogp bike. The bike was on scales which read 16.3kg - and if you pressed the scales the weight DID go up! EICMA was mad - I thought NEC was bad at a weekend, but this place was mental on a Friday and about 3 times the size of NEC. The superfanny was the centre of attention for sure. Glad I went but next year I going on media day!
lol, dunno about the strobe lighting but I once again took the wrong lens for the job!!! Jesus. I'll post mine shortly when I've reduced them in file size somewhat. Quick taster... Oh yeah, I have a few other photo's to upload. I''ll apologise to Ducbird now. :wink:
Saw the Superleggera at the NEC yesterday. It is the most stunning piece of two wheeled engineering from a production bike manufacturer ever. Enjoy all those lucky enough to be taking ownership. Hope we might see one or two at the Ducati trackdays next summer.
I know its roughly due early May 2014, I've heard rumours of end of April? Simply because May is when I asked for it to be delivered. If it comes end of April, then the dealer will have a little wait. if your concerned about it, then ask your dealer.
