You cant have enough crash protection if you track your Pani,most guys go 'to town' with protection only to ride it to the local Starbucks....
would rather have a dedicated tracker I dont mind sliding. I could never track a Panigale, unless it was already rough.
i get bored of tracks, i prefer changing rolling country side, filling the still with race track tones. Each to their own
I've just realised what bike this is and it's a very impressive machine, and certainly built for what Mr Ducati intended it for. The owner really knows how to ride it as well. The exhaust system is a work of art. I was chatting to Pumpdad at Donnington last week and the bike is now making well over 200bhp (208bhp??) at the rear wheel which has to be one of the most powerful Panigales out there at the moment. Pumpdad - Hi mate, didn't realise you had already posted on this thread when I first put this post up. Hope you're well, you were doing some seriously impressive lap times at Donnington last week; 1min 40 ish or something wasn't it?? Yes its my bike,and was at Dony last week. Getting times around 1.40-1.41,which im still working on Royal,you taking part in the Ducati only day at Silverstone next month?
Not planning on doing Silverstone at the moment. The other half hasn't got a Ducati just now so she is not able to do them unless she hired a bike which she doesn't want to do as she has just bought a tasty Daytona 675 trackbike. After the fun at Donnington I am very tempted mind so will see how the cash situation looks.
assume this is pumpmans bike then...at least you ride it properly, unlike most you see with a fanman plate and bolt on bits Have you thought about changing the tank?
I have 2 sets of fairing,one orange and the other red. The tank skin is ideal to chop & change between the two colours as it can be removed easily,plus aids protection in the event of a spill as its kevlar lined. Its a huge ball ache to change over tanks,what with loosening tank,then subframe,then removing fuel pump,hence why I use the skin as an easy change.
No as you cover the oem tank in masking/duck tape before fitting,this way there is protection from rubbing.
@PUMPDAD Why do you need to touch the subframe to remove the tank ? Mine comes off just by removing the front and rear bolts?. Can I ask you where you got the heat shield for the exhaust ? I need one for mine. If thats a link to your bike on the 1299 forum that is. Thanks
