  1. whoops cant get a avatar up but managed that. This is what my dealer sent me as too whats required and its minus the support legs. You can see its quite different from the previous Top Plate. Will wait to seee what Meds comes up with.

  2. Has anyone had any Joy with a Part No. etc for the Mounting Kit and possible costs for Top Box fitting Kit ?

  3. that looks nothing like the set up I've bought from Ducati for Givi boxes

  4. I paid £250 for the mounting kit for the top box. My top box is a Givi E55 tech, not the Ducati one. It goes on the same mount as the Ducati topbox (also from Givi I think). So I bet the old Ducati top boxes will fit too.

  7. Hi Andrew, any chance of posting Part No's of what you have brought ? Its $1255.00NZ to buy the whole box and dice over here. I know the 2013/14 box is the same as the new box (the one I have) but need a fitting Kit to suit the new DVT.

  8. From a large box of bits from my dealer, I made a list of all the parts needed for a single bike for my dealer so he could order up a single set for other customers. I then took the unused bits back. I think I kept a copy. You might be the guinea pig to test out my list writing skills. I think it's correct. I'll have a look for it. In the meantime here's some pics of the arrangement on my bike. It's a substantial kit, and rock solid unlike the bouncy kit I had many years ago on a Yamaha. There are 3 rubber plates and the whole lot sandwiches the tail and has struts going underneath the tail.

  10. Here's the list I made from a box of bits. There are 3 columns; Received, Used, Returned. Take the numbers from the column marked 'used'. Cross check against the dealer printed invoice in case there's an error. And don't order the charger on the invoice by mistake. It comes to about £205 if you take off the charger. I bet you have to pay more for import duty down there. Hope this helps.

  13. Hi Greg. Where are you as I was contemplating the same thing. I use Cyclespot on the North Shore. Just wondering how you get on as I may use your dealer should you have no problems. Also what are your plans for a key as my old TBox uses same key as 2013 GT

  14. Hi Dino, no problems with the key as i took out the barrell and key and gave it to new owner of my 2013 model. All new bikes come with a matched barrell and key so just fitted that to my old box. I live in the Bay of islands but I bought the last two bikes off Bayride Tauranga they are great to deal with and the 1000km return journey for servicing i enjoy heaps.

  15. I was incorrectly quoted for the rack. It wasn't very clear on their computer what was needed but have now been quoted £185 for everything excluding the box and £478 for kit and box.
Haven't ordered anything yet but doesn't look much in it.

  16. Hey Meds when you could pass on part no,s or info would be appreciated to all cheers

  17. Just to let you guys know, although it probably won't be an issue with a genuine Ducati topbox, but the vibration rattled the lock barrel out of my top box. It's on the highway somewhere between London and Cardiff! My givi lock was not compatible with the latest Givi or Ducati locks, and the little nut on the inside shook lose even with a shake proof washer and then there was nothing holding it in. My local Givi dealer gave me a nee barrel as i was still within warranty, but this time I drilled the locking mechanism inside and wire locked the nut to it, and used locktite. There must be something quite severe about the engine vibes on this new bike. It rattled out one of the nuts&bolts from my enduro kit big side stand foot requiring a freebie replacement from Touratech as Ducati doesn't sell the special nuts separately
