They aren’t rearsets,I modified a pair of footrest plates from a 2017 monster to fit the 2015 subframe and then had them powder coated, don’t carry passenger’s and really didn’t like the look of the 2015 setup
Seeing as the winters are long and I can’t help myself. 2017 rear subframe and seat cowl and a nice spark exhaust. Thanks for all the help @JohnnyGraham
Lovely bike, can I ask about fitting indicators and plate with the spark so they don't foul? They look like the same indicators and tail tidy I have on mine but thought the Spark needed different stuff so that it fits ok?
When the salt clears Jim I’ll be all over it. Baltic this morning, the 6 Months of British winter sucks
Thanks buddy It’s an Evotech Tail Tidy with Ducati performance indicators. The cans clear the indicators fine. The Bike is 2015 model with 2017 rear subframe and seat. The exhaust is listed as for the R model but everything fitted nicely with no hassle. The only thing I had to do was open up the exhaust mounting bracket holes.
ok nice one thanks. I have the tail tidy but not the performance indicators so that's good to know, much appreciated
Hi Andy, I recently purchased a 2016 Monster 821 Stripe and want to change the indicators too. The rears were no problem, but I'm struggling with the front. I've partially removed the headlight, but I can't see how to remove the OEM indicators from it. There is not enough space in my (newbie) opinion to get a tool in the bolts. Any suggestions?
Hello buddy They were fiddly. IIRC The indicators are for the newer models where the indicator base plates are mounted to the forks. I opened up the holes in the headlight surround so there was enough of an opening to get the indicators in. I think I carefully filed open
@3errors I didn’t use the indicator mounting assembly they came with. I fitted the indicators directly to the headlight surround. The indicator body has a recess so I opened the holes up to the same size as the recess and rolled the rubber indicator body through the hole. It’s a tight fit but it’s clean
