  1. Plenty of others do it too. Nothing to do with saving a fiver for the meter ;)

  2. The same with me Paul, I press post reply but it doesn't go dark so I think it hasn't worked, so I press it again only to find I've posted twice.

  3. Hmm, both non subscribers...

  4. Ive just had another look at your user profile but there's nothing untoward. It's pointing towards a problem at your end tbh

  5. Same with your profile. Nothing untoward. And the only thing that's the same is that your both not subscribers. But that shouldn't have any bearing on things.

  6. Disagree... Make em pay!! o_O

  8. Ducati Coventry have a white 1200S 500 Miles ex demo for £13500 and a brand new grey one for £14500. Think Hyside have a pre reg Grey one for £13300 but can’t find it advertised...

  9. Thanks Tricolore

Not looking for an ex demo, I know how people have ridden them :astonished:

The new grey one in Coventry is sold and the one at Hyside is nearly a year old.

I will have to stick with the 2017 PP, it's not being registered until March, so will be on an 18 plate, so will hopefully help lessen its depreciation when I sell it at the end of the summer :upyeah:

  10. Just clocked up 600 filthy miles on my 1260. I did test ride the 1200 (but only gently and two up) For me it made sense to go for the latest model; theoretically it should be better and financially well, theres no point in leaving it in the bank and you can't take it with you.
The quick shift is fantastic and really smooth (there is no going back). Problems with finding neutral diminish when you've put a few miles on the clock. As @soloman said cruise control takes some getting used to - though it is easy to set. Having upgraded from a very capable Suzuki V-strom 650 the most noticeable difference is the smoothness of the suspension.

  11. I think if you buying new anyway, buy the latest. Unless it’s like the ktm deals right now with about 5k off new!

  13. I know what you mean about ex demos but it’s only done 500 miles which was probably more down to the the Sales guys.....I’d still go for the PP if you’ve got a good deal.

  14. I used to like that broke bloke...lol :p

  15. If my experience is anything to go by "Good luck with that".

I have difficulty understanding your logic Bodie, it's your money to do what you like with of course, but if your going to sell it at the end of the summer, what difference does it make whether it's an ex demo or not ? At least you'd save the VAT and you don't have to go through the pfaff of running the damn thing in and you don't get mugged when you sell it.
    Just my thought that's all.

  16. Like others up in the posting I also have a 16 S with 3300 miles on and if I get to the dealer and like others have said they want best prt of £8k for a new one then they can whistle, I love the bike and what it can do (had it four months) but no smile is worth that much for a new one, I can’t use all this has anyways.

  17. I'd be interested to know what they offer you BigAlan if you do ask. :upyeah:

  18. Just noticed it on another members post ET, guess what, he's not a subscriber either ?

  19. When I traded my 12k mile pre-DVT S for a DVT, I got 10500 px.

If I went back to Snells (my dealer) and they offered me 9k for a year old S, that would be the end of our relationship given it’s clearly undervalued and taking the piss.

  20. There are more than just us matey ;)
