1260 1260s Or 1260 Pp

Discussion in 'Multistrada' started by davylfc, Jun 29, 2019.

  1. I have the same bike as you, tho not as nice as yours and I have tried the 1260 and I do like the dash and backlit switches and tbf it's a bloody nice bike but no way 10k better, you say you have a bit to spend on yours soon, looks like it will come in less than a k, offset that against the run in service and all the farckles you will buy for your new one and I think that will wipe out any savings you may save, I would wait to see what the next generation of multi will be like.

  2. Thats the best bet if you don't do too many miles, your bike looks great

What make is the rear seat cowl, not seen one like that before ?

  3. @davylfc
I second John W post above. Awesome looking bike and love the rear seat cowl.
I prefer Farkles* than Bling but the seat cowl has caught my eyes. Who makes it?

  4. If you carry weight a lot and a pillion a lot then the electric adjust makes sense, if you don't then I'd go for the more manual adjustment one, get it set up for me by a suspension specialist and enjoy.

  5. I'd buy the PP because it looks nicer. Plus Im shit with stickers.

  6. Flamingo Corse (Italy) if I remember at the time there was a good deal to be had still not cheap but the quality paint match etc top drawer.

  7. Just in case you have not read the sad news, Carlin Dunne crashed and died at Pikes Peak on Sunday.
We all may want to pause a moment to reflect upon a great rider who has contributed greatly to make the Multistrada what it is today.

  8. Sorry to hear that Dar. Sad news.

  9. Anyone got any opinions on the small screen over long distances?
Picking mine up next week and off to Austrian Moto gp the week after and wondering whether it is any good.
I realise it won’t offer the same protection , however I always found the standard screen needed a blade on the top to stop the buffeting
    Thanks in advance

  10. Fit some of Jamie Clare’s screen spacers. Huge improvement for me.

  11. To the small screen ?

  12. Buffeting is a dead horse topic IMHO. It's been solved over and over again. The OEM screen is the issue. The short screen has been demonstrated several times as THE best solution. There's zero buffeting; up or down. Nada
Clean flow on helmet when down. Very little wind flow on helmet when up.
The trade-off: bugs at slow speed.

  13. It was crap for me. The standard screen was way better for touring.

  14. I have both screens which comes standard with the Pikes Peak package.
Anything over 60 mph, I find the short screen is better and not just marginally. It's big time better.
If you tour under 60 mph then Yeah, install the larger screen for bug protection.

  15. Cheers for that , if I was touring under 60 I’d have kept my crosstourer :bucktooth:
