1199 1299 Demo Bikes

Devils Advocate and all that....But why? It's not been bored out to enable it to compete in racing, is that correct?
I'm not in the Pani hater camp at all, I've sat on a few and couldn't believe who light and nimble they felt. I understand the refinements, that's normal after a rear or so with any model, but 1300cc!
Is it simply 'Top Trumps' against the other manufacturers?

 

In the chase for more power the 1199 lump was criticised by some for losing the midrange torque associated with a big v twin, the extra 100cc and a few other tweaks gives this back (and then some).

 

I agree, and the bikes should have some too.

 

I think the 1299 is a bit of a gimmick :Bag:
