I’ve just ordered an FE, but can anyone tell me how I can make the standard Akrapovic noisier!? All the reviews say it’s “quiet” because of being Euro 4!?
As far as I know, it’s a full Akrapovic titanium system, like the WSBK one, but is strangled to meet Euro 4 regs!!
ducati announced they were making a full race pipe and upmap for the FE back in November. they had a part no. for it and i've had it on order since then. last i heard it was due this month but no confirmation. will chase up dealership this week. it is expensive though!!
In which case it won’t be a full system, it will have a cat fitted. I think the R, like all previous R, come with two: road and race only full system. But don’t own one and never looked into it so maybe they charge more nowadays
The gen 1 Panigale 1199 R came with both road and track Termi silencers. The gen 2 Panigale R came with just a road Akro.
Wow. Am guessing the lure of having punters spend £5k on 3 foot of piping is just too much for Ducati...

Riders have just phoned to say my FE will be here in about 10 days, which I’m over the moon about!! After weeks of researching the race exhaust situation, they now tell me they have a full Akrapovic race system on the way!! It’s expensive, but I just can’t have a “quiet” FE!!
