I heard the hp4 carbon is going to be track only The prototype bike they had in Milan was dripping in mega bucks parts. If they produce it as per the concept, that'll be a £80-100k bike, depending on how many they make, as developing and tooling for a carbon frame is big numbers alone
Good on you!! £72k is a ridiculouse sum of money to spend on a motorcycle, but if you can find the money - spend it, and if you've got the bike - use it. There are plenty of people that spend that sort of money on quite frankly not very exotic cars. Personally i don't see the £50k difference in my 1299 ...so even if I had the money - I couldn't justify it on the differnce So I bought something different at the bike show I've got until 2018 to work out how i pay for it Will it be as good as the panigale - doubtful, so I'll have to have both . But I absolutely want a British sportsbike. I've had a Triumph 595 and Daytona 675 was brilliant and I ditched it for the panigale. its such a shame Triumph didn't build on the 675 platform ... but their focus is retro and adventure bikes for now.
Nice call, I know there is not the difference for the money, I didnt want a 1299 because I have an 1199! didnt want another bike but this called out my name in Milan, first I though it was the puss near it but she cost more so I took the bike! I must admit I agree with your Norton purchase, looks cool, and totally different, save the cash and buy it up. PS for all and I agree my wifes opinion, money needs to flow out for it to flow it, all about Karma and all that, and if you all think about it there is nothing worse that a tight mean hording B*****D who has it but dies with it!
Hope it turns up on time. Mate bought one of the cafe racer ones and waited 18m longer than the est date.
Meanwhile, nothing from the OP who ordered the bike, then fretted about resale values, then in order to decide what to do about committing £70k on a bike, he asked a bunch of strangers on the Internet Yeah right:Angelic::Troll::Troll:
Had a good chat with the CEO and chief engineer as I was lucky enough to get one of the 200 ltd edns - they are still testing/developing for at least 6 months - they then start production of the ltd 200 and no doubt after a few of them roll out they will start building the RR as above - these will be the back end of 2017 - so likley to be later I expect if development/testing is still underway They did say the ergonomics/seating placement is closest to a panigale than any other bike so thats great news. Has a full unlumited mileage 2 year warranty and they will collect / deliver for servicing etc and have 3 dealers that cover essex/london. After seeing the deal for the RR at NEC and seeing the carbon edition I couldnt resist ordering one of them too which will be my everydayer and used at every opportunity - biggest decision is do you also keep the pani?.......
nope - for the same reason as the above - I didn't see the value in spending the extra £16,000 - when you can buy a whole bike for that.
