I’ve done the same regarding the OE quick shifter. I fitted a plug and play HM and carry the OE as a spare. To buck the trend my OE QS was impeccable You will likely bin it at some point. But when the visor goes down you won’t even think about it…. I fell off on a warm down lap ffs. Wasn’t concentrating…. Oops….
I thought about it too much and it took me a day or two to readjust my brain. Which is effin daft when I think about how I ride in the Alps ffs. My OE QS is also impeccable, but I hear a lot about fails and it seems silly not to just get an HM one. Esp as HM is 5mins away, albeat the HM racing rather than HM Quickshifter. Ive spent a few quid getting myself ready, new suit, bike prep etc an extra monkey for the QS seems cheap.
On these, if QS and/or blipped fails, I assume you can just carry on and clutch or clutch less shift old school??
