I still run straight cut primary's on all 3 of my seriously tuned Ducati's, any extra noise has never bothered me.
On my little 250 Desmo I even run straight cut bevel gears and I would on my 900, if I could find them or somewhere to make them for me.
I'm more bothered with the performance gains than any extra noise.
