Do you know if you have OEM or DJ?

  3. OEM - ta

  4. When I go the bike, this one was hanging free with the throttle and choke cables running through it - I presume it should be bolted on somewhere?

  9. As far as I recall, the choke cable is not routed through that ring. Only the throttle cables. Am I wrong?

  10. Correct. The choke cable runs along the rhs of the frame

  11. But it's a pig to get it to sit right......If I recall correctly it runs across the front of the headstock roughly with the clutch hose, but I can't check on mine because I have a different clutch hose route to the original OEM hose......but the bend in the choke cable from the RHS frame to the choke mounting bracket is tight, almost 90 degrees.

  12. I've had mine off and on a few times and don't remember it being too tricky. It does go in front of the headstock then inside the frame. Here's mine

  15. 'Needle Jet' has the reference number of the Needle, so I guess that should read Needle.

Needle Valve Jet is the Emulsion Tube,

14mm for the float height is purely a starting point and should probably be less...........there is no set dimension by Ducati for the the fuel / float height..........which by the way, are opposing....the float height is measured 'upside down', so the greater the dimension, the lower the fuel height in the float bowl.

  16. if you get completely stumped I can recommend Allens Performance, they're very helpful and experienced in all things carb related, give them a ring and speak with one of their tech chaps

  17. OK, have been reading up on carbs today - lots to learn!

Turning to another issue, How does one separate the front brake discs from the rotors? Those 'bobbins' don't look easy to remove...
