I was mulling over if I would want to move out there and whilst the place is amazing I'm not sure I would. We stayed with Tom Bramichs family and they were talking about 12-18hr or more drives to the other tracks! That said I could serious consider living in Melborne and just doing Phillip Island and Surfing!! I prefer the mixture of people in Europe but I'd love to live and explore Australia more as well.
Good right up Dave. I was wondering what you had in mind when you'd destroyed the clutch etc. Ben is a good lad too.
Still a bunch of work to do to get running so I’m trying to get on top of a few things in the small amount of time I have after long days at work. One thing I really should sort out is long term plans since the amount of money I’ve now borrowed is getting out of control and I’m risked up to the eyeballs! I’ve had all the stock bodywork and parts in boxes since the bike was nearly new and now I’ve got the exhaust as well to join it. It’s quite a few thousands of pounds worth which would help pay for the new parts but there’s no turning back from it being a track/race bike if I sell it all off? This titanium akro is a nearly brand new replacement from Ducati when my old one blew at Brno: New race akro is proper horny! I think someone’s boot has melted onto it or its a titanium repair, thoughts?! Ducati know how to make a beautiful machine, there's no doubt about that. This bit goes on there somewhere? Low rider inspiration! Damn ten mils are always going missing. I have literally none left??
Quite likely, we assembled everything loose without tightening to torque. One of my jobs this week is to finalise everything and torque the main parts up before I start installing the loom etc thats makes access more difficult.
looking good Monners, and a verz intersting build. i also have had a few boxes from Ben tip up at home while i was away
The Pani R(S13!) has sat at the back of the garage for four months since I've been too busy with work and racing the BMW to find time to look at it. Finally got it out today since I was feeling bad about it being in so many bits and I wanted to see how sexy it looked again! I've got a bunch of stuff to do still and parts to buy but it was definitely worth putting it back together again for some motivation even though I know I'll need to dismantle a lot of it again to get it finished.
Coming along Did you get the clutch assy sorted? I should know, but I don't, did these bad boys come with wet or dry clutch??
Yeah that was my thought exactly when I saw the V4R release change to dry clutch just before the journos tested the bikes! Ducati upgraded the systems in the RS13 engines to these new EVR clutch assemblies that I have luckily
