I don't like test rides, as I'm terrified of dropping someone else's machine and I'm restricted to 35 mph (or thereabouts), to keep my licence. I always wanted a second bike and I the nearest I ever got was when I bought my daughter a Street Triple for a surprise Xmas present a few years ago. Wonderful bike, but I couldn't sensibly use it without being in danger of a ban. Temptation was removed when daughter moved to Czech Republic and had to sell it. I still have ideas - I'd like a Tuono (any of them, but especially the V4) and I love all triples, especially naked ones. I'd quite like the MV thing with the panniers, but it's not sensible.
