  1. That's some incredible figures. Going to take some setting up that, so light and powerful it will be super sensitive to settings. Will be amazing to ride.

  2. I couldn't resist and after the phone call I had on Tuesday about the new SL my order is in! Should get confirmation imminently according to my dealer.

Only problem is I doubt I'll ever ride it as no idea how I'll ever get insurance for such a thing??? Insurance companies were wetting themselves about the Anniversrio some quoting me £7500!!

  3. Speak to Alan Lambeth at Kerry London Insurance. My last Superleggera policy was sub £1k with BikeTrak fitted.

  5. Probably be a broker job, my pal uses one for his Aventador because the other quotes were so so soo steep

  6. FFS - just had today's post, nothing from Ducati

  7. Blimey you've ordered one already Dean?! Wonder if it will be visually the same in terms of the previous Superleggera, ie paintwork, as I would imagine most people would want to be able to distinguish it from the existing one. Congrats on the purchase. Looking forward to seeing it! Jealous moi?

  8. Just wait till next years R it will be 95% the same bike at a fraction the cost. Ducati are good at that

  9. Get last months Performance Bikes if you want to see how close the R was/is to the Superleggera.

  10. I 100% agree with you they are good at taking your trousers down i had two dealers offer me the
    Ducati 1299s Anniversary
but i did not fall for it lol great for the people who have them but
having the SL made no sense to me again got 2 dealers ring me about this new SL mk2 do i want one.
But i have too agree with what Mr C says

  11. yeah,I've got all that . and still nothing from ducati. i don't really know why i care about it, just interesting why not.

  12. Probably more to do with your dealer being lax rather than Ducati UK. Sounds like they need a little nudge in the right direction. I tend not to go more than 3mts without chatting to my dealer even if we've got nothing new to share.

  13. Well I've put my order in, but whether or not I'll actually get one is now in the hands of Ducati. Didn't get an invite as such, just a phone call from my dealer saying he reckons he can gate crash the party for me. My order must have been literally first one in, so fingers crossed.

As for people saying this will basically be next years R, I very much doubt it given the spec this SL has. Whether or not it warrants a 66k price tag remains to be seen. The whole package is quite appealing and sod it you only live once.

  14. ive lost interest in this thread, since I saw the latest release pictures, the disguised euro5 exhaust simply does not work, and anyone with any understanding of motorcycles is going to see through this slippery excuse for an exhaust.

  15. Don't see any point in buy My onenif not going to ride it. Buy an ex-Davies WSBK for display in the garage, yep get that, but not something like this. Each to their own.

  16. I don't imagine you'd pick one up for sub £66k... anyway it'd still be heavier than the Superleggera ;o)

  17. Bet you could....

  18. Sounds like a good solution, and it's the real deal

  19. I do wonder what they do with these bike at end of life, although the one bike rule probably cuts the numb down.

I have seen a few come up on race bikes.com or whatever it's called. Tend to be kawasakis lol
