Hope the bloody heated mirrors work better than the bloody heated grips, otherwise you'll see eff all out of them in the winter
They work Wayne, but nowhere near as hot as my ancient 1150 RT and not in the same universe as my mates Gold Lung. And like some others have said on here, it's normal. Any body know what temperature they should reach ?
I'll turn them on Max tomorrow and temp gun the grips with a gun borrowed from work. Let you know. Laters Gareth
They get over 60 degrees when stood in the garage - the issue is the wind chill effect sucks the heat away faster than the heaters can replenish it They have (made up numbers) 1000BTU of heating - but the cooling is 800 BTU at 80MPH - the net heating effect is 200 BTU on your hand - but the wind on back hand at - 800BTU means your hands get cold.
I don't want to hijack this this thread @Simon Audi but my mates grips on the Wing are so hot their almost to hot (at max) to touch with your bare hand, and like I mentioned the Multi's are not a patch on my ancient RT.
Don’t disagree my VFR 1200 was much better Had 2 diff sets on 15 DVT but no better with second set My 17 seems a bit better but it’s not below freezing yet to test
@WAYNE 58 - what I was trying to illustrate - obviously badly - was that they get hot but the heating power is not enough to deal with cold climates. Like an Electric Fan Heater - in a room that is 4 M x 4M on Low setting in the middle of winter - if you put your hand infront of the fire - its Hot and you get burned If you stand 2 foot away - you barely feel it If you set it on Max then you may just feel it - after 2 hours - the room might have warmed up enough... I.e. they work - but only just...
2018 will get the 1260 engine as already stated, new dash, more kit and quickshifter up and down, prices out 5th November
