2020 Tt Cancelled

Discussion in 'Racing & Bike Sport' started by carson, Mar 16, 2020.

  1. It's an opinion.... An opinion that i truly hope I'm wrong on. Nobody more than me wants to go to the TT and the island.

We shall have to wait and see but at least we've got boats....

I still think nothing will be back to normal with regards to large attendance numbers events until there is a vaccine or effective treatment, we have neither at the minute.... We only have symptom easing treatment.

Social distancing will be the real Achilles heel to any event. Don't think whilst you're on the island, think how it's going to play out getting there...

  2. There is no vaccine for the common cold. Work has been directed at it for decades with no success. Indeed, you cannot vacinate against any of the major 'flu epidemics that we have suffered over the last 100 year or more.

So, I don't get this "confidence" that a vaccination is just around the corner.

I know that I am no expert, unlike the politicians and the journalists, or is this something like the flu jabs that old people get in the winter?
