V4 2021 Multistrada V4 (post Info) Buying Survey

Discussion in 'Multistrada' started by DarR, Nov 14, 2020.

  1. hmm, I assume Affetto is telling me what they know from the Ducati logistics system, in the beginning there was no guaranteed delivery date

  2. It is slightly confusing, to be honest all the difference between a V4S Performance and a V4S Sport is different livery and a price increase of +£450

Like you say though on the UK configurator it uses the word Performance!

  3. yes, indeed “sport” disappears

  4. I am loving the new GS colour scheme ;)

  5. An accident or an on purpose?
:bomb: I recon they’ve quietly dropped “Sport” to bring it back later when there is one :upyeah:
:p Then you can watch the votes reverse trend

Or it could just be a website coding error ;)

  6. Has anyone ordered the V4S Performance, and the full system? As the full system is the same price on all models (including the Performance) even though a big chunk of the premium for the Performance model is for the Akra.

  7. If you order the full system with a Sport or Performance model, its an extra which will replace already fitted parts, therefore you will get the Cat, downpipes, Akra end can back, I have ordered mine with a low heated seat, extra £200+ but will get the standard heated seat back!!

  8. Ah, ok. If you get the Akra end can back, that’s fine, but often when you spec the full system at the factory you won’t get the original silencer.

  9. You’ll need the original to pass an MOT the way things are going o_O

  10. I'm looking at ordering the S Sport with wire wheels.

  11. Or perhaps the S (not Sport when configured) performance as it may become known ;)

  12. It's going to be a tough sale.

    2021 Ducati V4S Sport---US$26,000 (£19,995)
    2021 BMW S1000XR-----US$20,640 (£16,300) (loaded)
Even adding a second set of spoked wheels & discs with enduro tires will still cost you US$2000 less.

  13. Let’s hope it does more than 30mpg

in all seriousness, that was the rumour that many have been waiting for and likely to postpone many prospective v4 buyers decisions until price etc get released. But also hold off riders like me looking elsewhere.

  14. The rumor could absolutely just be vaporware to buy some time and prevent an exodus.

  15. A V4 will always be a thirsty beast.

  16. Great Scott, you're right. They should have gone with an in-line six with a fuel efficiency of 41 MPG (US).
    Friday humour.

  17. Multistrada V4 wet weight
    Have you seen this?

    Screenshot from 2021-02-09 16:38:34.png

A weight confirmation would be in order for sure. This goes to confidence as Ducati doesn’t have a spotless record as they had to revise their overstated power figures a few years back.

I sincerely hope their weight numbers are not understated as this real world weight of the Multistrada V4 at 595 lbs would indicate.
@Steelboss BTW, this review has also confirmed the 30.5 MPG.
The V4 is thirsty and the cost of fuel could easily outweigh the benefits of the longer service interval.

  19. I can appreciate that. So far, most of these reviews and opinions portrays the bike as a panacea.
There's two sides to every story and I'm just highlighting some of them to look at the bike with eyes wide open.
Only then are the prospective purchasers armed with the most complete set of information to make an informed decision.
