If we're calculating weight with panniers included then we should also be including top box and passenger. These weight claims are meaningless
Nope, there is some delay, according latest information from the ERP system, it will be assembled in the factory on 21 Febr and will be overhere around beginning March, temperature will be 19 degrees (Celsius) next Saturday, so I hope I will get it earlier
Nice one, that's good, it's been bloody freezing here in England, warming up next week though double figures at last, cant wait to get back out on a bike!!
Listen guys, it's really simple. Either show some links with proof that Revilla and Rider Magazine are full of it or sit on your hands. As the saying goes, You either walk the talk or BS walks.
Those guys threw the gauntlet by insinuating that Revilla and Rider Magazine were wrong. Either they put up some links with proof that Revilla and Rider Magazine have not stated the bikes weight correctly as stated here, or they should sit on their hands. There is "no letting it go" when it comes to determining the truth.
You need to get a life, mate. Enjoy riding the bike you have. Let others enjoy what they have. Life isn't a race or a competition.
Life is too short to worry about this sort of stuff, just accept you feel you are right and put them in ignore if it really gets to you
I have been keeping a close eye on the Multi V4 since the rumours started. Having owned an MTS950 (which was brilliant, but slightly too tame for in terms of HP), I am very much on the market for a V4. Reading this thread with a lot of interest and also active on some other places... guess some might recognize the nickname. Just wanted to say that I am surprised seeing some people on a anti MTS V4 crusade. Is this the new way of the competitors to sway online discussions? I don't really understand why anyone who thinks the new V4 doesn't meet his requirements is spending so much time by posting all his dislikes.
Welcome to the forum. This particular topic has a few useful posts but in the main is the focus for all the disaffected riders who have made their minds up the new bike is not for them. If you enjoyed your 950, I am sure the new V4 will put a smile on your face. Andy
I have a wonderful life. I do enjoy my Ducati motorcycles which are race bred and derived from competition.
I get that life is too short... bit. and agree. It's not that I'm right or wrong. BTW, if I'm wrong, I will be the first to acknowledge it before it gets out of hand. I don't worry about this stuff at all. In this example, it's not me that came up with these bike weights. All I did was produce the evidence and the sources were well documented and linked. Nothing wrong with opinions. However, I can't stand unsubstantiated opinions which are stated as facts. Perhaps some people were offended by being shown that their bikes weigh more than they would like to believe? This is just an opinion, not a fact.
Just to put your mind at rest. Facts are ultimately things you find out for yourself rather than reading elsewhere.Which is whyi would try the bike before i made my mind up.
I like that you found this. Thanks. However, someone between them and Rezilla is lying. The devil is in the details but still? Moreover, this also solicits the question of why the kerb weight claimed by Ducati is 243 kg which is 10 kg less that the lowest published weight as measured in the above? Kerb weight is measured with 90% fuel capacity. That's 19.8 litres out of a maximum 22 litre tank. Gas must be extremely light in Italy.
I think all manufactures cheat on stated weight, power and fuel consumption. They just can’t help themselves...
