  1. Had Biketrac tracker fitted this week ( insurance requirement) …. Seems like a decent unit …. I had an operating query on Friday night so just emailed them using customer contact form …. Had a reply from them 10 minutes later ! Hopefully I’ll never need it but I do like the fact that it’s now fitted and I can broadly forget about it

  2. Ducati do a lowering kit for the V4. It might just lower it enough for you to feel more comfortable.
It consists of replacement springs front and rear and a replacement prop stand.

Ask your dealer about it. Seems a good idea to me unless you’re thinking of off roading a £20k bike.

  3. hi mate .. yes at the Silverstone MotoGP round Ducati had 2 versions of the bike on their stand … one of which had the low seat, low suspension options … I decided low seat on its own first to see how I get on as the lower suspension is £200 odd quid for the spring etc plus labour cost which bumps that up even more … so far I have to say that the bike feels very well balanced and I am just being super cautious when moving it around and pulling up at junctions etc with the road camber .. if I move it around I tend to get off and push rather than paddle with my legs/feet ! Thanks for the heads up though

  4. Just received the Iconic one, thanks for the heads up mate

  5. So, been a bit busy last couple of weeks and not much riding, still waiting for crash bars and engine guard from Ducati, 4 weeks now, Iconic parts have the top box plate on back order but I have just received the Satnav bracket which looks good. Popped to Ducati Coventry to see about tank protection from knees etc and as I don't want to cover up the paint work they have recommended a clear film product which I will look to have fitted when crash bars etc arrive.

  6. So , received the Iconic Parts sat nav bracket for my Tom Tom. Very well made, 5 minutes to fit and I much prefer the position “up high” …. Need to wire it in next …. Still waiting for the Iconic Parts top box plate which has been on back order for a while,

  7. Very pleased with the Tom Tom position and now hard wire to the supplied Ducati wiring. I used bullet connectors to try it initially and now that I’m happy with it I think I’ll solder the wires over the winter months

  8. Wonder when TomTom will update the Rider satnav? I bought a Garmin Zumo for my bike as it was so much better than the TomTom. I use the TomTom app on my iPhone all the while (not on the bike though) so am watching out for the updated TomTom bike satnav. Hopefully a nice Xmas pressy for myself?

  9. I do love how Ducati have that nice to use tail for GPS. Other brands could learn a thing or two

  10. Absolutely agreed, however have you seen the price of their bracket to go with the free connector :astonished:

  11. I have used the Tom Tom for a while now as several of my riding group use then and we just got used to how they work, route planning & sharing. I prefer the separate sat nav to the LCD screen and also prefer it high up … not particularly impressed with Sygic …. Would also rather have my sat nav and bike data separate. The tail connector piece did indeed make it much easier to connect the sat nav up and big shout out to all the forum members for recommending the Iconic bracket .. works a treat and fits the bike well I think

  12. Yep, that's why I'd recommend everyone get the Iconic one. The official one is laughable both in build quality (from the looks of it) and price. The Ducati sat nav itself is also just a Garmin with a Ducati badge stuck over the Garmin logo, with a giant mark up!

  13. Been a bit busy recently but finally after 2 months waiting I received my crash bars and engine guard from Ducati …. Had them powder coated black and after a ride in last Thursday’s monsoon weather I got them fitted at Ducati Coventry.

Also managed to get the official top box plate and a second hand 30L Givi Dolomiti top box …. Big enough for most daily travels

  14. I use the same topbox set up on mine. Excellent bit of kit, seems a lot lower than the Ducati one.

  16. +1 I've got the silver version on my white V4S. Ideal for day to day use, especially you can get f**kall under the seat.

  17. So, not quite sure where the last 18 months have gone ... bit of a blur with work, family and other commitments ..... I have loved the V4 MTS but I'm not doing anywhere near the type of riding/mileage to justify the MTS's capabilities so I have decided to go back to my naked bike riding and will very soon be the proud owner of Ducati Streetfighter V2 .... tried the V4 and as amazing as it is , it is way too much for me to use/need so the V2 is a happy blend for me ... will sort out a new thread when it arrives
