Ahhh, that sounds like a good idea! Where would I get those from? I’ve got it booked in at a local specialist in May for a complete going over....I could maybe get them to fit them there? My left wrist is completely buggered, needs an op (rode my Africa Twin in to the back of my own car on my own drive and wrote it off....long and embarrassing story ) anything that can help would be great!
Well father, earlier this year I sinned....I bought a brand new AT with the DCT gearbox! When removing ones left hand to open the gate at home, never lean on the right throttle hand or very bad things will happen when an automatic gearbox is involved it did at least get to 3 hours old before I wrote it off!
Those Honda DCT boxes are lethal when inadvertant throttle /unexpected shift downs are involved. My AT(AS) DCT wheeled in the middle of a busy roundabout when I had to do a rapid brake/close throttle to avoid a blind motorist pulling across in front of me, the resultant admitedly angry opening of throttle after I avoided his boot had shifted it to 1st and it wheeled out the intended roundabout exit, not sure if any plod had been near by that they'd have bought my it was the auto gearbox guv! reason.
I did feel a complete twat to be honest! Thinking of the physics, as she bucked I just wound on the throttle to the stop so I could hang on....I was just a passenger at that point! Interesting insurance claim, I think they thought it was a wind up
