i love it as much as the next man, i have a 30mile commute to work which if honest i treat like my own personal race track. my bro in law and his mates are the kind of bikers i am talking about been out on a couple of fast runs with them. then it starts. blades, r1's pinned, overtaking on blind bends. f.ck being in that group i guess that's how he has had his license taken him 4 times now. probably the only thing that's saved him or someone else. maybe its the amount of tourists up here that increases the amount of fatality's. oban was shut on Friday again due to another fatality 2 cars this time head on again.
The whole French are. Great place and superb roads. No street furniture. You can see the exits coz few hedges etc. Long sweeper, hair pins, no traffic. No traffic! Very little.
If the rear of the Panigale is too high and the front low etc it will slap like a bitch. Perhaps your 9st is the cause, drop the rear static sag by 5mm at a time and check it out.
What was that blokes name who was 'signed up to race a ducati on his first trackday' that then broke hs back on his second....is he using a different name
The first R1 was an animal, a real animal and it was a shame they designed all the fun out of it. It would wheelie and shake it's head all over the place, I never had a real slapper once though (although a few of my girlfriends have come close to being slappers).
I dunno bout anyone else, but i move my rear sets forward and up. This rotates my body as i sit on the bike round my hips and pulls my weight off the bars more. (I'm 5'8"). I get more feel from the front that way. Otherwise it can feel like i'm doing handstands on a jackhammer.
Problem solved nice one , hope no othe 9 st lad with Dunlop style riding has same prob and posts in future dont think the site could take it
I would of probably gone for the suspension set up before the purchase of the damper tbh. If the suspension has been set up well, it will eliminate any head shaking..
you should have been on the island today sure you would have gave gaz j and bruce a run for their money
where u going for suspension ? I had my S with ohlins transformed by mct its mint now was rock solid he resprung / revalved both ends
James griffin - "fitted to the bike set to how stiff I like it been out on bike gave it some bastard couldn't get the bike to fault at all not 1 slapper in sight" Nice one glad that fixed it but didn't doubt it as you said this mod had fixed previous bikes.Maybe its about time a few folks on here eat some humble pie.It always amazes me how many odd comments you get on this forum.I guess that's the internet for ya. Hope you enjoy the bike now without the tank slappers. That would have knocked my confidence also for sure.
