I think he burnt those bridges last time he was there, if my memory serves me, when he refused to step back to a satellite, read Honda the terms of their/his contract and they had to run 3 bikes the following season, he went to Herve and Yamaha after that. I wonder if and when he does come back will he be as committed, I think he will and then he’ll have another big crash, break it again and that will be the end of his career? Makes me think of Rossi after he broke his leg in practice in 2010, I think he rode with a different attitude after that?
if he ever comes back then the months and months of pain will be in his mind when he tips it into a corner and no one goes absolutely 100% when that shadow is there
Why does he need any other strings, he is set for life, he will likely never find something else that can replace his passion for racing.

I can’t see him wanting to? none of the heavy hitters in GP over the recent years have expressed a genuine interest in competing in f1 from what I’ve seen. Lorenzo especially was fairly outspoken with how ‘easy’ it was. And that he wasn’t interested. rallying maybe?

I'm a bit frustrated to hear that he's blaming the doctors for not stopping him getting on the bike at Jerez 2... it's a difficult job for them as it is, let alone with d*cks like Puig screaming in your face to sign him off as fit. I think Marquez needs to 'own' this, and it sounds like ultimately he is. I hope he's fit soon, no one wants to retire on a stretcher regardless of age or success. It's bad timing really, I genuinely think they would have kept Cal in LCR and given him the latest bike and kept Alex in Repsol had they have known, but there's been something missing with Cal this year, maybe beaten up too much
I was watching the documentary on Stirling Moss last night and he was taken in his prime of his life at the Goodwood race track and had to walk away from a sport he loved,he made this decision on his own in the light of a bang on the head which effected how's computer didn't work as well anymore.Sometimes you've to swallow a brave pill in life and accept your fate.Perhaps Marc will return to our screens with that ruthless streak & talent only he knows when it's time to hang up the leathers.
