  6. Conwoman to be exact. :)

Maybe why I can’t bring myself to vote Tory, their policies seem to be harmful long term.

  9. She was a revolutionary.
Deregulation of the city brought huge investment to the square mile, just at a time when we needed to take up the slack caused by the failing northern industries and manufacturers.
Remember "labour isn't working", well she was right to curb the power of the unions.
A mix of policies that promoted small state and a free market with a light touch regulations lead to growth and employment.
Like it or not, she changed the UK for the better with most were now able to buy their own home.
Education reform with a common measuring standard and tables of performance.
Her strong grip on Northern Island lead the way to the Good Friday agreement.

And don't forget to tell Sid.

  12. Short term maybe.

Selling off the council houses would have been ok if they’d used the money to build more like they said they would.

  13. Instead it was a way of restricting the housing supply, which trebled house prices, benifitting the banks who lent the mortgage money.

  14. Deep analysis there backed by fact and reasoning? They couldn't handle her visionary ways.
She had the right ideal, but the wrong idea; with the poll tax rather than a property tax.
She should have set a voting tax and a non voting tax, one lower than the other, say by 50%.
Taxes shouldn't be linked to property, but instead spread evenly across the users / contributors.
It's totally unfair that we pay three times what our neighbours do and yet the only service we use is rubbish collection.
They use schools, playgrounds, nursery support and public transport.
And don't get me started on child allowance!

  15. It changed the UK forever.(living memory).

Agreed:The money should have been ring fenced to develop more brown field sites to restock.
By the way, it is now.

  16. Point of order:

The Thatch was removed by Tory-embedded Fifth Columnists of the EU who would not tolerate her Eurosceptic ways.

So ... a bitch, shafted by cunts.

    You're welcome.
