Hi Bradders, sorry just caught up with this! When I did mine(earlier model) the sprocket just slides off the Cush drive mounts if I remember it correctly!
Brain freeze moment so was thinking the sprocket and cover stayed on the hub and the cover comes off...rather than the whole thing. Once I remembered it was easy enough, although the eccentric isnt half stiff...and now the wheel base is a lot shorter and I reckon I've added an incih of ride height. May have to mess with preload
Not tried yet @MaDProFF as I still have the SCs fitted and need to switch tyres. Well, if it wasnt pouring with rain I xould. But its not! Need to set chain tension yet
Is the Supersprox 42T sprocket the same for both 2015 DVT models and pre-2015..? I'm trying to order one for my DVT 1200S 2015 & can't seem to find it..?
Depends on where you are getting it from, try BigRISK PowerParts its easier to select the right one ? Not sure if the pre and post 2015 models are the same although I would think that as long as you get the right pitch , 530 and 42T they should be the same as the cush plate off my 1098s fits !

I want to change rear sprocket too, but I do not want the bike to rise in height, so ? is if I put on a 42t rear, and then turn the chain tension adjuster to the lowest ride height will I find a chain the right length to fit? or have I got to remove links?
I'd wait til you need a new chain @MaDProFF and do it then. It brongs the wheel quite a lot closer so will be raising the rear also quite a bit I reckon. Not tried mine yet, let you know when I have
MaDProFF On the contrary you need to add links - the standard chain with 40T rear sprocket is 108 links If you want to use a 42T rear sprocket you need a 110 link chain and the ride height will stay the same. The 108 link chain will fit but as you point out the eccentric must be rotated a long way and changes the ride height.
got a silver sprocket got 6k miles on the bike so I intend to change the chain as well as the front sprocket at the same time. It was pretty expensive , 127 euros posted all the other bikes sprockets are considerably cheaper
