620 S - someone got a bargain!

Discussion in 'Supersport (1974-2007)' started by Carlos Fandango, Jul 18, 2013.

  1. Sure it's not yours being sold by a nice gent from Botswana

  2. no mines in the shed in bits again, where it normally.

  3. Yes, I like that - the silver is a great colour.

Not sure about those exhausts! Look awesome but might be a touch loud!!

Ventura rack is always handy, and they'll sell for £100 on ebay all day long if you don't want it.

It's got a bit of tax and MOT so at least you can ride it for August!

Has the red key, 6K miles is not a lot but I would check when the last service and belt change was done - if it's over 2 years ago then it'll cost you between £200 - £300 for a belt change and service.

I would expect it to go for around £1500 - £1700.

  4. It didn't reach reserve last time at 800 quid so we will see!

  5. I would think he's expecting more than £800!

If it doesn't reach reserve again, I would message him and offer him £1300, subject to going and checking it over.

  6. Wow, im keeping my eye on this one as its only up the road and if it goes for silly money just before the end, im bidding on it.

  7. the risk of notifyiing a ducati forum of a potential good deal!!

And Antonye there isnt a reserve now!

  8. I like those exhaust, if you get it and get rid of them let me know, might be interested, if the prices is right!!

  9. They are a bit of an oddity, to my eyes the Carb 600SS is better looking and more of a classic for an enthusiast, however the 620 is probably a more practical (read reliable) proposition and if the values have now dipped below £1500 they are a real bargain.

Would I have bought one instead of my 600, probably would, yes. So Noodles stop buggering around and buy it!

  10. Lol! Trouble is its am hour and a half away so no visits likely would be a buy and hope and collect! But if it's the right price at the end around that 1200 mark then we will see

would be an epic trip home seeing if I remembered how to ride a bike again too!!!!

  11. I bought mine blind, sometimes if the price is right, it can be worth a punt. Delivery can be less than you think if you don't want to ride it home.

  12. Might be a dealer looking at the name and feedback score. I'm 30 miles away and often only about 15 miles from the seller if you need owt.

  13. Whats an hour and half?! Thats less than a daily commute for many...

  14. 4 days left, i think ill go for a look see.

  15. I went and looked at a car last night - no intention of buying it on the night, just wanted to check it over - and that was an hour and a half away.

Depends how much you want it!

  16. That'll do for me getting to work and back

  17. the original one on this thread is back on the bay again, for a classified price of 2500 from the same seller.....

  18. suspect the dealer was bidding himself to a reserve price
