for the majority of the system its actually only 57mm.........where the two go into one it gets bigger up to 70mm then back to two 57mms......
I know. The 848 system isn't a 'full' 70mm at its largest part afaik. I was told that this was because to go up to the full 70 mess with the running too much. Something to do with back pressure? I'm probably going to be proved wrong again, but every days a school day.
Has anyone done Castle Combe on a 1098 with a full system with db killers? This is my nearest circuit and I note it only has a 100db limit. System may be up for grabs!
fook sake...........just get a pair of db killers..........£30! you wont get many days on CC anyhow, and youll want to do different places
Doubtful even with killers. Std IL4's, RC8, and others fail as its so strict. Think std 1098 barely scrapes in, and they ask for something like 7k from memory
I've no issues with spending £30 on a pair of db killers if the bring bikey under 100db, which was kinda the question...
well my motor is....er.....got a bit of bang, and I've ran it with a termi 60mm.., a 1098 70mm.... and never been refused.......
The noise limit for the day is 105 db(A), which is measured at ½ metre from the exhaust outlet at ¾ maximum revs. It is the rider’s responsibility to ensure that their machine is within this limit. Ever had it tested at 9k Revs Andy ?! Like I say, plan on a 98db level on normal tests.
My 1098 std system got through on bike safe with a cocked eye-brow. Bradders is correct 3/4 throttle. Feck!
