748 748 Mono/bi Question Plus Bonus Question

Paul, pretty much. The mythical MY97 S is a long running thread on here and nearly all of those that have been identified as such were not the real thing. This one has the right feel to it , although the photos are not that revealing and the sticker that says 748S is not what you see on the normal bikes of that time

What's the VIN on the headstock read? We might be able to decode the MY from the info.

 

@Denzil the Ducati Every day is a school day - apologies. I was relying on memories of my 96 748BP!

 

Ducati won't tell you the bike details anymore unless you own it due to GDPR(?).

 

I think @nelly can also do a vin check against Ducati records
