More off a case of too many bikes. I average about 300 miles year on this one and 300 hours of cleaning on it a year!...and had it two and half years. Its more a case of, if it sells it sells, if it doesn't it doesn't kind of thing.
Although I do quite like the Benelli Tornado 1130. Not everyone's cup of tea, but then was the 749 models...not much UK dealer support for Benelli, but I live very close to a MV Augusta (and Italian bike specialists) franchise near Norwich who know their stuff. Seeing one in the flesh was totally different to any photos.
Nice bike ,if I had the money........ I have a similar carbon tank fitted with the breather on the top like yours, have you got a one way valve fitted?...cant really tell from the pics, thing is I have fitted a long breather pipe that I've routed around the inside of my cockpit without a valve and after I've filled the tank I always get a spurt of petrol,i've tried valves and they don't seem to work ,do you get the same problem with your set up?
I have a FREE flo tube which does have a one way valve and never had any trouble. Although I have took the bottle of now and its not connected, but didn't ever have a problem. Just have to make sure the one way valve is the right way round!
I have just had the black box swingarm fitted to my 03, Termi system fitted to suit the swingarm.new HM QS in race shift, I have just fitted some CF covers on the swingarm as I think they go ok with the BST wheels.
Hi Kingfixer ,Stunning bike . A couple of questions if you don't mind . Where did you get the frame bungs ? what exhaust system is that ?
The frame bungs were already in when I bought it so I'm not sure ? The system is a Termi 57mm stainless to suit the black box system from 05 bikes onwards I believe.
After taking in all the info on this forum I decided to give an oberon slave cylinder a try. I reckon its made a big difference - definitely recommended
I bought the DP front and cut the hole and made the recess to the light myself. Then bought a small projector light with hi/lo beam and made a bracket for the light. I cant believe how heavy the standard set up is on these bikes. Much lighter now.
Last week installed all my winter upgrades. Brembo RCS Brake/Clutch Brembo T-Drive Discs Marchesini Mag Wheels Went for track day and test them... what a difference, very pleased with everything! Anxious for the next one!!
