Sorry chaps but in true top trumps style I have a yellow one in loft but sadly the original post is from Jan 2014 so I think we all a little too late. Boooooo :disappointed:
Hi bluey Moo hasn't replied so I'm going to assume he's not interested. I've uploaded some pics for you. There is a small blemish on the lhs plastic. Pegs are there just not in photo. Paul
Ah. That's the same as what I already have lol. Had it have been the mono seat Id have snapped it up sharpish. My mistake, sorry.
This maybe late for the OP but my recently purchased MY03 999 bip came as a mono conversion using the original bip subframe and what looks like an OEM mono seat and tail unit. Due to the way the sub frame has been altered it can not be converted back but it looks to have been relatively easy for a previous owner to convert it to a mono using only a mono seat/tail cowl and removal of the extraneous rear seat catch and mechanism. The only issue I have is the adjustment offered with an OEM mono subframe is not available on my bike, not a big deal for me but may be an issue for someone not as tall
That's what I want to do to my bip subframe so I can still use the passenger footpeg mounts to mount my panniers any chance u couild post or PM me with some photos so I can see how he did it as I'm want to avoid cutting too much off lol
Charlie, will do, it is all stripped at the back right now for winter fettling so easy to photo, with a tail tidy it has greatly cleaned up the tail end and must have saved quite a few kilos in the process.
Here are some photos of the sub frame, looks like it had some surgery. I include a couple of the previous owner's shots to show it in context (thanks Huw). All the stickers have been removed except the seat unit which has the Alice decals lacquered on, this will be re-sprayed next month back to plain red, I don't like stickers
I can confirm that, twice. I eventually instructed my fabricator how I wanted certain areas gusseted for extra strength. No issues so far,
