Yep that's an issue because if it's the same as the 748/998 setup in terms of how it works, it presurises and then has a swirlpot to reject the 'spare' fuel back into the tank, so tbh I would be surprised it runs at all in that state. Hopefully you have sorted it. It doesn't potentially mean you've been running unfiltered fuel for a while though so be careful.
